Well it’s not every day that you get to be a part of a 100th birthday celebration! It was a fantastic experience to be a part of and we were excited to see Frank’s letters from the Queen, Premier and Prime Minister.
Loved performing with Daren Sirbough on Keys and John Maddox on Double Bass.
Happy Birthday Frank!
Loved performing with Tim McArtney on Double Bass and Daren Sirbough on Keyboard last night at the 40th birthday party for Donna in Neutral Bay. It was a perfect evening with a great crowd, fantastic atmosphere and amazing weather.
Happy birthday Donna!
It doesn’t get much better than this. Set in the sandstone courtyard of the historic Mint on Macquarie St, this wedding and reception was one of the highlights of my career to date. I was privileged to perform with some of Sydney’s leading musicians including Casey Golden on Keyboard, Brett Hirst on Double Bass, Phil Slater on Trumpet and Matt Dorahy on Drums. This pic is of the the trio playing an opening set as guests arrived. Matt and I then joined them later when the bride walked down the aisle and throughout the reception.
Loved performing at the Quay Bar Christmas Party with Tim McArtney on Double Bass and Sam Golding on Trumpet. The weather was amazing and crowd was fantastic. Looking forward to playing at Quay Bar again in 2014.
Here is a pic of our first performance at One Moncur Champagne Bar in Woollahra. It was such a great night. We had Simon Ferenci on Trumpet for the first time and everyone commented on how amazing he sounded. It was also great to play with Tim as always. We look forward to playing at One Moncur again in the near future. Thanks to Anne Lee-Archer for this great photo from last night.
Loved performing at this event celebrating the renewal of wedding vows. The event had a great relaxed vibe and took place in the afternoon on a Saturday at a great waterside location in Dolls Point.
A very friendly crowd delivered some great dancing which topped off a great afternoon.
Here is a pic from a gig in October at a private function. I was joined by Tim McArtney on Double Bass and Casey Golden on Keyboard.
We love performing at private functions and a jazz trio is often the perfect line-up for a small and intimate event.
Loved performing music for Lisa and Duncan at their Commitment Ceremony in the Botanic Gardens. The weather was amazing and the view was stunning as you can see in this pic.
At this event I performed solo and loved including their favourite Cat Stevens song in the repertoire. In the process of preparing for this performance I discovered an amazing portable amp called a Roland Street Cube. A very wonderful discovery and means I can perform basically anywhere and do not need an electricity supply. Brilliant!
Very best wishes to Lisa and Duncan.
Loved performing wedding music for Teresa and Shaun at the Royal Sydney Golf Club. The weather on the day was amazing. The band who performed with me (from left to right) were Mike Hammond on Trumpet, Casey Golden on Piano and Steve Morrison on Double Bass. The wedding music kicked off with an instrumental trio set outside (no vocals) straight after the ceremony while drinks were served. The venue has a grand piano so after that we included a solo piano set from Casey which was divine. This was followed by three sets of wedding music from the full band inside culminating in a high energy dance set. Following the wedding Teresa stated – “I thoroughly recommend Ladybelle for weddings. Cassandra was very professional from beginning to end and ensured that the music, breaks and multiple set-ups made the most of the venue and matched the style of our event. A wonderful atmosphere was created and dancing ended the evening.”
Best wishes to Teresa and Shaun.
This photo was taken at the wedding of Ishtaj Vij and Craig Roberts at a winery in the Bega Valley. This was a magical day and the view we looked out on while we performed wedding music is something I’ll never forget. It was these rolling hills and vineyards and incredible blue sky. Tim and I were joined on the day by special guest keyboard player Joni Park. Following the event Ishtaj stated “You really made our day. We loved what you contributed.” Best wishes to Ishtaj and Craig.
